Thrifty finds..

I went to the local charity shop today to buy some supplies for a secret new baby project!
Other purchases included a new belt for Alfie the Bear...

and Miss Molly got an apron : )

In other news it's still very snowy here. We're looking forward to a cosy weekend at home with a trip to the swimming baths on Sunday.

Hope you have a good weekend.

The swing

Alfred and Molly got this fantastic swing from Aunty Lotte and Johannes for christmas.
In danish its called a 'sanse gyng' not sure what you call it in English. There's room for 3..

Alfie likes to read and swing...

They both like to put off bedtime by swinging, it's so cosy. I'm very fond of the reading and swinging combo too after the kids have gone to bed! ; )

snowy activities

We were snowed in last week, there were blizzards and snow storms raging. We stayed inside and played with our christmas prezzies, Alfie got duplo which he loves. He spends ages playing with the animals and standing them all up!

There was also time for some drumming...

At the weekend we went to the summerhouse, it was a proper expedition where we had to walk the last bit to the house and pull bags on sledges. Alfie and Molly wouldn't stay on the sledge so ended up being carried, of course ; ) The snow was so deep in some areas it was up to my middle!

Back at home with all the snow!
It doesn't look like disappearing anytime soon.

Christian and Caroline's surprise 30th party

The 2nd jan (day after Christian's birthday) his mum and dad came to pick us up to take us out for dinner. Supposedly a treat because his prezzie was delayed in the post. So off we went in their car and as we turned the corner from our street into the road the road was blocked with lots of people waving. I looked closely and recognised EVERYONE, they had arranged a surprise party and boy were we surprised : ) So off we all went into the village hall where everyone had brought a dish for a buffet and tables were set, it was fab! All my work collegues were there, friends and family from Denmark, such a lovely treat after a christmas with a poorly Alfie and Great granny. Great granny sadly passed away yesterday at the grand age of 96, we're sending lots of love to her and she'll be missed greatly.

It was lovely to see everyone.
