Rennovation

We're still rennovating, this room is going to be a second lounge/playroom/office/sewing room!!!

We're using reclaimed skirting boards/door frames we were given from a neighbour.

The old paint has to be scraped off which takes a looong time

Here you can see where a bench (we think) has once been many years ago.

I love seeing all the different types of wallpaper from the different eras : )

We're waiting for a plumber to fix a new radiator then hopefully we can finish this room off in the next month or so!

Molly received a welcome letter from kindergarten, she's starting soon and she's got the elephant peg!

She can't wait to start..

We have done apple printing on clothes, a good autumnal activity : )

Poor Alfie has had chicken pox but is on the mend now.

Tivoli

Tivoli is a small theme park in the centre of Århus.

We went there a couple of weekends ago..

Summer hols..

We spent a week on the west coast of Denmark,

we were between 10 to 20 people altogether staying in this summer house.

This is us playing a viking game involving throwing wooden blocks.

Busy dinner times...

Christian managed to get some surfing in.

Today!

I'm back on the blog, we've had a few technical difficulties including summer holidays without the camera but I'm going to try and make up for it now!

This was taken today, we went for a bike ride down the the fjord.

Here's molly with the first pumpkin harvest, check out the gigantic cinderella one : ) There are lots of eatable pumbkins too including hokaido and blue hubbard varieties. Christian says there are lots and lots to come so that's good. Our main crops this year have been potatoes and pumpkins, we're going to try and sell some of the pumpkins...

Molly in one of the apple trees, it's a great tree for climbing. The apples aren't quite ripe yet but she does like to keep checking them.

On Saturday we went to great grandma's birthday party, very nice!

Updates on out trips over the summer to england, west coast of DK and the polar bears coming soon!

Recent activity

We're making hay and setting up a new goat fold.

Alfred, Molly and Johannes have got a new playhouse in the form of the little summer house in the garden

We took a bike ride to the fjord last weekend.

It's only a 10 min ride, I think we're going to go there alot more often now, it was great.

The stawberries are ready.

First batch of jam done, strawberry tart done, strawberry tiramissu comming soon!

At the beach..

Hello again, ok I think I've got this blog thing working again...

Here are the kids at the beach a few weeks ago.

We have had some really lovely weather although it's raining today.

This beach is about 30 mins drive away...

We enjoyed making sandcastles and collecting water.

Weekend in April

This weekend...

Alfie found some worms

and rode very fast on his bike,

Molly rode her scooter,

and we had bean burgers on the barbecue.

Johannes 4th Birthday

Cousin Johannes recently turned 4 years old.

He had a lovely party at his home in Århus,

followed by a trip to the woods to see the deer.

Unfortunately Alfie wasn't very well so missed the trip to the woods however he perked up later which was good.

We saved him some cake, always a top priority for Alfie!
