Molly's party cont.

We put bunting up all the over! Very easy to make with triangles, rectangles and strips of fabric sewn with a zig zag stitch onto bias binding. I just left the edges of the fabric raw without hemmimg or anything and it worked fine.
We have our own little table outside the farm where we sell potatoes, beetroot, marrows and whatever else we have in abundance.

Beetroot, red onion, goats cheese tart, tomato and cheese quiche, pesto potato salad, home baked bread.  We used all out own produce which was great as we have loads of veg at the min!

Ingelise made a lovely fish cake with salmon and prawns.

Even more bunting in the tent!

Molly's party cont.

Molly got some great prezzies, we game Alfie and Molly a personalized bowl and cup, Alfie's with a tractor and Molly's with a fairy.  Molly also got a doll and doll's pram, a necklace, cutlery and money for a  new car seat.

Aunt Hanne got Molly a stawberry hat.

This is great gran's muffin we saved for her. I forgot to take a photo of all the fairy cakes with different pics of Molly on, they looked great and tasted fab.  Aunty Lotte made them, white chocolate and coconut mmm.

Camping

Outside the caravan and tent, getting ready to be in the sun, it was really hot all week.  Good job we weren't camping this week as it keeps raining over here.

By the pool...

Anyone for a drink?

On the beach, playing in the water.

More safari

A fancy bird...

Girraffes and antelopes

Lotte and I struggled to get 3 littles ones to sleep at midday with 3 prams/pushchairs! I've just been cleaning a twin buggy we were given, ready for next week's holiday. I've high hopes for everyone napping at the same time in this and thus me having some crafty time, we'll see what happens....

Water Buffalos, I think, in the european part...  We couldn't spot the bears and wolves in the North American enclosure but that's all part of the safari expreience!

On safari

Last week on our camping trip we visited a local safari park and it was AMAZING!

The park was divided up into continents and had loads of space for the animals to roam around.

You could even take a safari ride in a range rover, but we were to late to book and it wasn't quite working out with our nap and feeding times!

This is a stork!

The Bees

Did I mention the bee family arrived a few weeks ago?
Well, they did! They are now installed in their new home on the field.  The three bee keepers are Steffan, Nikolai and Christian, it must be a boy thing.... or a time thing.... ; )

We're all very excited about the bees. Only 2 bee stings so far, Christian got stung on his eyebrow and Steffan's little brother on his arm.  The problem is we only have one bee suit and lots of interested people!

The queen bee seems to be there and so all is well, I think...

Later in the year, we put more boxes on to build up the hive.

No honey this year but by next spring we'll hopefully have (literally) tons of the stuff!

After the weekend...

We left for our camping trip on Friday afternoon and drove through a thunderstorm for THREE hours! Which is a very long time for a 7 month old and 2 1/2 year old! When we got there and found the campsite, we couldn't get the electricity to work in caravan or gas so we had rugbrød (a danish rye bread) for tea.  By 10pm NOBODY was asleep! Oh dear it wasn't an ideal start to the weekend. We had an early start on sat around 6am and decided after a walk around and everybody had had an early morning nap Christian could go surfing.  However he soon discovered he had forgotten his wetsuit, Blimey we thought let's be off! So we drove to Farfar and Farmor's summerhouse where they were with Faster Lotte, Jonas og Johannes.  Wow that was really nice, Farfar and Farmor made us dinner, Alfie played with Johannes and we could chill out, heavenly! We had a nice day on Sunday playing by the sea and in the garden.

In keeping with the theme of the camping trip, the camera ran out of battery so no photos of the weekend!

Just gratuitous pictures of the kiddiwinks in the garden from last week ; )

Alfie had just woken up so he was still a bit sleepy.

Arty Crafty

We've had the finger paints out!

We made....
*wrapping paper by printing on a brown roll of paper ( ikea's best! )
*greetings cards by cutting up pictures and putting in a ready made card frame (from the bookshop/stationery shop)
*pieces of modern art - freestyle painting on shop bought canvases (from søstre grene/art shops)

We're off on a little camping trip tomorrow.  We're heading to the sea side in the north of denmark where there should be surf for daddy, sand for alfie, sea air for mummy and molly.
Happy weekend : )

Hej

We're back from England now..

Back to the clutter inside and overgrown outside! ; ) We've had a packed weekend, trying to get back to a normality.  Christian built a new wall around the front door, just need to plaster a little bit and paper the wall. This should solve a damp problem in there. We also went to the local fete and have moved wardrobes around!
